About Myself

Hello World. I am Tobias Gray studying Computing Science (Software Engineering) at Newcastle University. Having spent a year in the industry working for the NHS as a software developer and from personal learning with some of the projects shared on Folder6 and others elsewhere am now experienced in programming and in the computing subject itself. As of yet I wouldn't call myself the greatest programmer and am in fact quite a way from that but am working to always improve.

My main expertise lies in web technologies and I am very familiar with HTML, CSS and languages such as PHP, J2EE and Java Script. The list goes on to many more, but I'll stay modest and only name some. Along with this I am also skilled in database management and querying having also had the chance to work on the largest database in Europe while working for the NHS

I don't just reside in the corner of my bedroom on the computer though and enjoy a trip to the local pub for a pint and game of pool. Then on Sunday night become the member of the greatest, most handsome and most delusional pub quiz team. My pool game is not yet perfected but I endeavour and I must admit is the only regular sport I partake in.

I also am a keen driver taking Oscar Cardozo my little silver micra on the road for long drives to nowhere in particular. I can think of few things that I enjoy more than driving with the window down, music playing on a sunny day on endless B roads of the UK.

Nostalgia is also a love of mine and I like old items that have aged well still looking good to this day. In particular photography, and have fallen in love with the 1993 Supercolor 635 Polaroid camera I own. Take a look at some of the pictures of friends and family I have taken in my Polaroid gallery. It may be hypocritical being a computer scientist who enjoys his modern gadgets yet longs for a simpler time where photos came out and Photoshop wasn't an option but just how the camera decided to feel that day.

Folder6 my dumping ground for my digital life hosting things I want to share with the big wide world. Created when I was in my early teens it has grown and seen many phases of life and has many to come as I get grander and more adventurous ideas to put on it.

I can only hope you enjoy the small portion of my life I share on Folder6 and have the same thrill of anticipation that I have of the things to come that will one day change the world. But for me changing the world is still quite a while off but not something I will give up on trying so stick tight and maybe you can be my friend who knew me before I was famous*.
